Bouquet Beanie and Cowl. Lillekimbumüts ja kaelus.

 

What a coincidence! It was exactly two years ago when I started a mystery knit-along in an Estonian knitting forum. Lot of knitters joined in to knit the hat. Later I translated the pattern to English and published it in Raverly.  

This autumn  I took time to re-write the pattern, added slouchy version, new charts and written out lace pattern. I made matching cowl and mitts too. I love how the set turned out! I'm wearing it often.

I published the cowl pattern today. The Bouquet Cowl features a distinctive lace pattern creating small bouquets blooming all over. The same pattern is used for the Bouquet Beanie. A smaller, modified version of the lace pattern is used for matching fingerless mitts (pattern coming soon).

 

 

Huvitav kokkusattumus! Avaldasin täna kaeluse mustri ja hakkasin vaatama, millal ma esimest korda kirjutasin Lillekimbumütsist. Tuli välja, et täpselt kaks aastat on möödas, kui kutsusin Isetegijaid ühinema selle mütsi salakudumisega.

Sel sügisel võtsin kätte ja uuendasin mütsimustrit, kudusin uue, veidi lotuma mütsi, kaeluse ja pisut väiksema mustriga sõrmitud. Kindamustri kirjapanek on veel pooleli, aga tuleb varsti, niipea, kui ennast kokku võtan. Kudumine on lihtsam, kui kirjutamine ;)

Do you still remember I posted about a knitted work of art back in June?
Well, it was received with excitement in artist's family. By the end I had to knit another! I love to knit when my work is loved! I used different design and brighter colours this time. I enjoyed the process, drawing schematics, choosing yarns, knitting intarsia.
Someone will be lucky to get the throw as a Christmas present! Wish it was me ;)

Kingitus sai nii sooja vastuvõtu osaliseks kunstniku perekonnas, et mul tuli veel üks pleed kududa! Ma koon rõõmuga, kui tean, et mu tööd tunnustatakse. Intarsias on mingi võluvägi, mis teeb kogu töö nauditavaks, alates skeemi kujundamisest, lõngade valimisest, kudumisest, kõik kulgeb mõnusasti.

Socks Tiptoe Through the Daisies. Sokimuster Kikivarvul Karikakrais.

I have not knitted socks since last winter but I could not miss Socktober. One must knit a pair in October to call it Socktober! I had the idea for this design for awhile. It took some time and ripping and reknitting, but here they are! 

Your toes and heels will get attention they never had before when you walk around with these beautiful socks on. Pick your own color scheme and let the daisies shine! 

Stranded colorwork makes nicely cushioned toes and heels to give you comfort and a spring in your step.

Socks are knitted toe-up with a non-standard after-thought heel and picot edge.
